I’m not sure if you’re a basketball fan or not…
BUT HOLY HELL!
UMBC (I had to Google it too, don’t worry…) just made
history by becoming the first #16 seed to EVER beat
a #1 seed in the NCAA “March Madness” tournament 😱
Now… Why in the world am I emailing you at 9pm
on a Friday night to tell you this???
Because it proves two HUGE things when it comes to success…
#1 Who gives a damn what others think
Seriously tho… When I first started pursuing entrepreneurship,
I really really struggled with what others would think of me.
It’s easy to feel like your friends and family may judge you.
It’s easy to feel “weird” because it’s not a “typical” route.
But at the end of the day, it’s essential that you disregard
the naysayers and focus on the desired result you want.
Just like 16th-seeded UMBC… Show up to the game ready
to WIN and block out all of the people who say that you
should be there in the first place.
#2 Practice, prepare, and execute
At the end of the day, talk is CHEAP.
Entrepreneurs who love to flex on social media are usually
the ones who are struggling to run steady & sustainable businesses.
(Of course, there are a lot of them that flex AND actually do
make a boatload of money… But unless that’s your style
then I suggest you just be humble and sit down…)
People can talk all the want, but success comes down to
practicing your craft every day, preparing for the big game,
and executing on the game plan. Nothing else.
If you wanna build a profitable business, you HAVE
to have skin in the game, period.
Be like UMBC.
Focus on YOUR game and go all in.
Disregard what everyone else is saying or doing or worrying about.
Be relentless in pursuit of your dreams and your goals.
You just might shock a lot of people along the way…
